While we couldn’t quite figure out how to get cannabis into blankets, slippers or snuggies (maybe next year!), we did come up with the next best thing: Hot Cocoa infused with 4:1 CBD|THC tincture!
Perfect for winding down after intense online shopping or cozying up by the fire on Christmas Eve, Chef Teresa Hansen’s simple take on the classic cocoa is the two-hands-on-the-mug experience we all deserve this year. She recommends an unflavored tincture to let the dark cocoa taste shine through, and at the ratio of 4:1 this particular variety is heavy on the relaxation with just the right amount of headiness.
So get out your favorite snowman mug, put on that ugly sweater vest and enjoy hot chocolate the Sol Flower way.
4:1 Hot Cocoa
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Yield: 1 serving = 12mg CBD|3mg THC
1 ½ cups plant based milk, unsweetened
1 tablespoon dark cocoa powder
2 teaspoons monk fruit sweetener
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch sea salt
2 mL, 4:1 CBD|THC Unflavored Tincture
¼ cup marshmallows
- Heat milk in a small pot over medium heat.
- Whisk in dark cocoa powder, monk fruit sweetener, vanilla and tiny pinch of salt.
- Simmer over medium heat and whisk until smooth.
- Off heat, gently whisk in tincture.
- Serve in a mug with sugar-free marshmallows.
